Most McDonald’s locations nationwide will be joining in on the fast-food chain’s extended summer hours. However, there are a few exceptions to keep in mind to avoid the letdown of arriving at the drive-thru only to find it closed. McDonald’s outlets situated in airports, shopping malls, and other venues that restrict late-night operations will not participate in the new extended summer hours.

Just as various McDonald’s locations feature different pricing and, at times, unique menu offerings, their operating hours also vary. Typically, McDonald’s outlets close by 11 p.m.; however, some select locations offer drive-thru service until 5 a.m., while others operate around the clock. These 24-hour locations are usually situated in major urban centers, such as New York City and Los Angeles.

This summer, McDonald’s is not just extending its hours. The fast-food giant is also launching a brand-new McFlurry at select Canadian locations in honor of the dessert’s 30th anniversary—and it’s flavored like birthday cake! Additionally, you can indulge in the new McCrispy Strips, marking the first addition to McDonald’s permanent menu since 2021. As for the Snack Wrap, its return remains uncertain, with the company teasing it on social media. We can only keep our fingers crossed!
