ROGER EBERT DEAD AT 70
Roger Ebert -- one of the most famous movie critics of all time -- died today after a battle with cancer. He was 70 years old.
Ebert was diagnosed with thyroid and salivary cancer in 2002. Four years later, doctors removed part of his lower jaw, preventing him from speaking and eating. However, Ebert continued to write movie reviews almost until the day he died.
Ebert is a legend in Hollywood -- with a star on the Walk of Fame to prove it. Along with critic Gene Siskel, he famously popularized the use of the "Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down" ratings system.
Aside from writing movie critiques for the Chicago Sun-Times for 46 years, he also hosted "At The Movies" from the early 80s until 2006.
In 1986, he was joined on the show by fellow critic Gene Siskel, who passed away in 1999. After Siskel's death, his chair was filled by Richard Roeper -- and he and Ebert continued on with the show until 2006.
According to the Sun-Times, Ebert was an early investor in Google -- and more than likely made a fortune because of it.
Ebert is survived by his wife, step-daughter and two step-grandchildren.
In his final blog entry penned earlier this week, Ebert addressed his illness and essentially said goodbye ... writing:
"It really stinks that the cancer has returned and that I have spent too many days in the hospital. So on bad days I may write about the vulnerability that accompanies illness. On good days, I may wax ecstatic about a movie so good it transports me beyond illness."
"So on this day of reflection I say again, thank you for going on this journey with me. I'll see you at the movies."

Rihanna is the latest celeb to get swatted ...
Law enforcement sources tell me ... a call came in to 911 claiming 2 armed men were inside the Pacific Palisades house and someone was shot.
LAPD is on scene and we're told they're confident it's yet another swatting call.
The incident comes just a day after Diddy was swatted in the nearby San Fernando Valley.
As we reported ... the latest swatting victims appear to have been targeted by the celebrity hackers who pilfered financial information from Michelle Obama, Kim Kardashian, Tom Cruise, Britney Spears, Beyonce and others.
KARDASHIAN FAMILY SUES OVER JUICY DIARY
The Kardashian kids are suing their dad's widow, claiming she's been illegally selling portions of a diary they inherited.
Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob Jr. are suing Ellen Pearson -- who was married to Robert Kardashian -- claiming Robert had a diary that contained very personal details about the klan and has been selling tidbits to tabloids.
The deceased Kardashian -- famous for repping OJ Simpson -- allegedly left the diary to his kids in his will.
Among the info that Ellen allegedly sold -- Kris allegedly hit Kourtney and Kim and also threatened to kill Kim ... and Rob was locked in a car while Kris was out on a date.
The lawsuit alleges the diary is owned lock, stock and barrel by the Kardashian kids and Ellen is infringing on their copyright.
The lawsuit demands the return of the diary and family albums, as well as damages.
Interesting fact: Robert did NOT include ex-wife Kris in the diary inheritance -- just their kids. But Kris is listed as a plaintiff. It's curious -- Kris is NOT suing Ellen for defamation, for putting the brutality allegations out there. So the questions -- did Robert Kardashian make the allegations against his ex, and are they true?

Halle Berry is pregnant with her second child...
Sources connected with the actress and her fiance, Olivier Martinez, tell me... Halle is 3 months pregnant.
What's more ... they know the sex. It's a boy.
This could explain why Halle and Olivier were so upset when paparazzi got too close to her earlier this week at LAX while she was carrying soon-to-be big sister Nahla, who is 5.
It's definitely worth noting ... Halle is 46, and Olivier is 47.

Lil Wayne In Critical Condition?
Rapper was found unconscious on Friday, according to an online source, but Wayne tweets 'I'm good' despite those claims.
Days after it was reported that Lil Wayne suffered multiple seizures, the rapper was said to be in critical condition in a Los Angeles hospital. On Friday (March 15), the Young Money rap icon was taken to Cedars-Sinai after enduring yet another set of seizures, according to an online report. But as the story was unraveling, setting the Internet ablaze, the closest members of Wayne's YMCMB camp were offering conflicting reports.
What we know so far, based on reports, is that Wayne was taken to the hospital on Tuesday and released on Wednesday. But within hours of that release, he was found unconscious in his room by his bodyguards, according to TMZ. The rapper was again rushed to the hospital, although this time, his condition appeared to be even more serious. The website reported that several people in Wayne's camp were at his bedside and that his mother was making arrangements to board a flight to Los Angeles.
Despite what read like detailed reports from TMZ, citing unnamed sources, Wayne's close friend and Young Money president Mack Maine refuted the dire claims via his Twitter account. "Wayne is still alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game...thanks for the prayers and concern..he will update you all soon. #love," he wrote on Friday at 8:19 p.m. ET. "We will be releasing an official statement shortly but don't believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe....that's false!"
Mack Maine took to the social networking site again 30 minutes after his initial tweets, this time directing his messages directly at the tabloid site. "@TMZ it's certain sh--you should not talk about or play with if u don't kno what u talking bout....dont deceive the fans of the people," he wrote. "@TMZ and definitely don't try to kill a man before his time....so from the bottom of my soul and on behalf of my fam.....F---YOU."
Cash Money CEO and Wayne's father figure, Birdman, retweeted Mack's initial tweet before reiterating that there was a statement on the way. He then sent a message of his own, writing, "My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta...be home soon.YMCMB."
At 9:28 p.m., reassurance appeared to come from Wayne, himself, when a tweet was sent from his account saying, "I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love."

I have reached out to the New Orleans rapper's reps who confirmed, "Lil Wayne is recovering."
TMZ had earlier reported that Wayne's condition was critical, going so far as to say that he was being "prepared for his last rites."

JUSTIN BIEBER BOOED AT CONCERT The Tide is Turning
Justin Bieber's fans have drawn the line -- it's ok to walk the cold streets of London shirtless, it's ok to smoke dope, but show up 2 hours late for a concert and they'll turn on him like wild animals.
Justin's concert in London Monday was slated to start at 8:30 PM ... but he didn't take the stage until 10:30 PM -- and a very young and pissed off crowd roundly booed his skinny ass.
Particularly irritating ... most of his fans have a curfew, which put them in a bad position.
Bieber tried to defend his lateness by tweeting he was actually only 40 minutes late because the opening acts were always scheduled to last more than an hour.
Bieber admitted there was no excuse for being late, but then blamed the media for spreading the word of his tardiness.
Better watch out Biebs -- fame is a fleeting thing.
MILEY CYRUS NO Engagement Ring ... Trouble in Paradise?
Miley Cyrus made a HUGE statement last night without ever saying a word ... 'cause she went out in public WITHOUT her engagement ring ... in the wake of rumors her fiance cheated on her.
Miley DID have some jewelry on her hand when she went out in L.A. last night ... in fact, she even had a couple of rings on her ring finger ... just NOT the giant rock Liam Hemsworth gave her when he proposed.
The timing is interesting ... 'cause there have been reports that Miley was angry with Liam ... who was recently spotted in the back of a car with actress January Jones.

CHRIS BROWN VALET INCIDENT VIDEO MORE VIOLENT THREATS
I have obtained NEW VIDEO of the Chris Brown valet incident ... in which it's clear -- BROWN THREATENED THE VALET.
The new footage shows Chris cussing at the valet in front of PINZ bowling alley in Studio City, CA -- where Brown had just attended a charity event for inner city youth.
The valet had asked for the $10 fee before handing Brown the keys -- but Chris refused to pay because he was only at the event for a short time and didn't feel it was fair.
Chris exploded in anger ... getting right in the valet's face and yelling, "Gimme my f*cking keys ... f*ck ten dollars."
Then comes the threat -- "Gimme my keys ... we gonna turn this whole spot up ... I promise you."
Translation -- WE'LL GET VIOLENT IF YOU DON'T HAND OVER THE KEYS.
That's when someone from Brown's camp appears to give the valet $10 ... and Brown snatches his keys back and says, "Funky ass ten dollars."

Rihanna and Chris Brown's new romance has already gone to pot -- the couple celebrated CB's zero Grammy wins by hitting up a Hollywood nightclub last night ... and lighting up what appears to be a joint.
Chris and Rihanna -- who won her 7th Gram last night for her "We Found Love" music video -- dropped by Supperclub for a private party ... and according to sources inside the venue, the whole place was filled with pot smoke.
Grammy Awards Underboob 'BARELY' Met CBS' Standards
Katy Perry's giant TA-TA's ... Alicia Keys' underboobs ... Kelly Rowland's twins ... turns out they were all given the stamp of approval from CBS -- despite the network's previously harsh warning to keep the nakedness to a minimum.
Despite these revealing outfits -- and several more -- a rep for CBS tells TMZ, "All wardrobe selections passed our standards, if only barely."
You'll remember … CBS issued a memo urging everyone in attendance to cover up or else -- saying in part: "Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack."

The Grammys Stage Crasher ARRESTED After Run-In with J.Lo
The moron who crashed the stage at The Grammys -- only to get kicked off stage by Jennifer Lopez on live TV -- was arrested for trespassing directly following the awards show ... and it's not the dumbest stunt he's ever pulled.
The idiot who wound up in handcuffs is Vitalii Sediuk ... the same dumbass who got slapped in the face by Will Smith last year (and rightfully so) when he tried to surprise the actor with a kiss on the lips on a red carpet.
During the Grammys, Sediuk somehow weaseled his way backstage ... and when Adele was announced as the winner for Best Pop Solo Performance ... Vitalii rushed to the podium and tried to grab the mic from presenter Jennifer Lopez.
Sediuk managed to get out a few words ... saying, "Thank you, Adele. You’re my inspiration” ... but Lopez quickly ripped the mic back and shooed him offstage.
Directly following the show, cops arrested Sediuk for trespassing -- and he spent the night in a jail cell ... this according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Sediuk told THR he's just a prankster and meant no harm -- adding, "I’m not a crazy guy. I just think differently."
Chris Brown Police Chief in Probation Scandal RESIGNS
The police chief who signed off on Chris Brown's alleged community service has resigned.
Bryan Norwood, Chief of the PD in Richmond, Virginia, was intimately involved in certifying Brown's community service hours -- hours the L.A. County D.A. claims were never performed. Norwood was instrumental in removing Brown's case from the Richmond Probation Dept. and placing it squarely in his hands. Norwood also wrote a letter to the court vouching for Chris ... claiming all of his community service had been performed.
The Mayor of Richmond says his office and the Chief reached a "mutual agreement" for his resignation.
There had been speculation for weeks the Chief might have resigned to get a similar job in Raleigh, North Carolina, but the buzz in Richmond is that the Brown scandal accelerated his decision.
The judge in Brown's Rihanna beating case wants Brown to verify his hours. If he can't, he's in big trouble and his probation could be violated.
Chris Brown Parties With Karrueche Tran, Rihanna Posts Angry Tweets
Rihanna is like one of the female friends we all have. You know the beautiful, talented one who wants to be with an a-hole because she doesn't know her worth. You can't talk sense into them. You just have to sit back, shake your head or distance yourself when things get too abusive.
Rihanna is determined to prove that she and Chris Brown are in love and should be together. But like Chris said in his documentary style video, he loves two chicks and one of 'em is Karrueche Tran.
Rihanna Tweeted the following messages before deleting them and saying she misses her man: "Examine what you tolerate," "Goodbye muthaf**ker," and "You give, you get, then you give it the f**k back."
Chris and Karrueche posed on the red carpet together in Paris on Friday. The Sun reports that Rihanna has "given him so many chances since he beat her up in 2009 and he still keeps hurting her by partying with girls.
"Letting Karrueche meet him is yet another blow for Rihanna that will further disgust her fans. They are already raging that she is back with him.”

Beyonce Inks $50 Million Deal to Become New Face of Pepsi
You’ve gotta give it to her: Beyonce Knowles-Carter sure knows how to turn a quick buck…or a quick million.
Queen Beysus has signed a $50 million deal to become the new face of soft drink giant Pepsi.
The “Love on Top” songbird will front Pepsi’s “Live for Now” campaign; complete with a limited edition line of cans emblazoned with the singer’s famous face. The cans will debut in Europe in March.
Beyonce’s performance at February’s 2013 Super Bowl 2013 Halftime Show will be sponsored by the cola brand. Her first Pepsi ad will make its debut during football’s biggest night.
Bey sounded exuberant about the deal in a statement Monday:
“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve. As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
Knowles-Carter succeeds pop royalty like Michael Jackson and Britney Spears as the latest trailblazer to join the Pepsi fold. Pepsi is expected to be the official sponsor of many of Beyonce concerts. The company will also help to promote the star’s forthcoming fifth studio solo album, set for release next year, according to Brad Jakeman, president of PepsiCo’s global beverage group.
