Beyonce has admitted to lip synching at the presidential innauguration . When asked about it, she said, ''Due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. ST JUDE'S HALF MARATHON RECIEVES NATIONAL PRAISE!!!
The St. Jude Half-Marathon is being recognized as one of the best half-marathons in the country. February's edition of Runner's World magazine has a write up in it praising the scenic tour of Memphis and all the support and funds that are raised for the hospital. CLICK HERE to learn more!

SANITATION WORKERS RETURN TO WORK!
Yesterday striking sanitation workers for Republic Services announced that they will be returning to work today. This is great news for the over 200,000 residents who depend on them for trash pick up and the strikers will be working extra hours this weekend to make up for lost time. CLICK HERE for more info!

STRONG STORMS TORE THROUGH THE MID SOUTH!
Last night and early this morning strong storms moved through the Mid-South causing tornado and flood warnings from the National Weather Service. The wind reached an estimated 60mph at The Memphis International Airport and MLGW is reporting around 17,000 customers without power. CLICK HERE for more details!

PARKING DOWNTOWN JUST GOT EASIER!!!
Memphis is going to make downtown parking meters credit card friendly based on the fact most people do not carry cash or change anymore. The upgrades are expected to raise revenue from $400,000 a year to $1Million and changes should be underway very soon. CLICK HERE for more details!

THE MEMPHIS ZOO HATCHED BABY KOMODO DRAGONS!
It has been a really exciting week at the Memphis Zoo. First with the birth of a new baby giraffe and now several komodo dragons have hatched. Our zoo is one of less than 20 zoos across the nation that has successfully bred Komodo dragons. CLICK HERE for more details!

SANITATION WORKERS ON STRIKE!
Republic Services' sanitation workers went on strike yesterday and it has already affected pickups at around 37,000 homes and businesses in and around Memphis. The strikers are citing unfair labor conditions but temporary workers have been called in and trash pick up should resume by tomorrow. CLICK HERE for more info!

OBAMA DISCUSSED FOOTBALL SAFETY!
