Rush, Donna Summer, Public Enemy Among 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

For Rush, this no doubt gives new meaning to living in the limelight.

The Canadian power trio, Public Enemy and the lateDonna Summer are among the artists who have been chosen to be inducted next year into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it was announced on Tuesday.

So who else joins these music legends in the class of 2013?

Guns N' Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys among those inducted in 2012

That would be Heart, Randy Newman and blues guitarist Albert King, who passed away in 1992.

Producers Lou Adler and Quincy Jones will also be inducted by way of the Ahmet Ertegun Award for non-performers.

Meanwhile, those who had been in the running, but didn't make the cut this time around included Chic, Deep Purple, N.W.A., Procol Harum, the Meters, Kraftwerk and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

The 28th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on April 18 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
