Get a good look at it, ladies and gents!
This could be the last time you ever see PSY perform "Gangnam Style!"
The Korean rapper, who turned 35 today, has decided he's had it with the horsey dance, telling MTV he can't think of a better way to retire the sensational song.
"Being in Times Square on New Year's Eve is already special—it's the biggest stage in the universe—plus it's my birthday, so, with all that, it may be the ending of 'Gangnam Style,'" he said.
PSY did say that he does have prior engagements scheduled overseas where he'll probably go "Gangnam Style" a couple more times, but he just thinks it gotten too popular in America and…well, he's decided to cut us off!
All good things must come to an end, folks!
Of course, the uber-viral video will always be a click away on
" target="_blank">YouTube, but nothing compares to seeing PSY do the pony live in person—or the hilarity that ensued when he got people to go "Gangnam" with him (remember when he got all the Today show hosts in on the action?)
R.I.P. "Gangnam Style" July 15, 2012-December 31, 2012.
What do you think—has Gangnam gone out of style or are you sad to see it go?
