New year, new Britney Spears album?!

During a chat with fans on Twitter over the weekend, the pop star revealed she's "working hard" on a new collection of songs.

The singer went on to share that she is "collaborating with some new inspiring producers."

Meanwhile, when the subject of the X Factor came up, and whether or not she would be returning as a judge next season, Spears simply replied: "Really focused on my music right now."

Spears' last album, Femme Fatale, was released in March 2011.

No word yet on when her eighth disc will drop, but obviously, let's hope it's sooner than later!
