He later posted a photo of his tribute to his hometown online via his Instagram account.

Diddy's tweet immediately drew the attention of New York editors, who reposted the hip-hopster's pic of his tattoo and offered him high praise for using the publication's logo.
"Diddy, on behalf of everyone @nymag, we accept this," contributing editor Will Leitch tweeted.
