Court hearing in West Tenn. abduction-slaying

BOLIVAR, Tenn. (AP) - A court hearing has been scheduled for a woman charged with being involved in the deaths of a West Tennessee woman and her 14-year-old daughter.

Teresa Mayes is expected to appear before a judge Monday on murder charges in the deaths of Jo Ann Bain and her daughter Adrienne.

Prosecutors say Teresa Mayes drove their bodies from the home in Whiteville, Tenn.. where they allegedly were killed by husband Adam Mayes, to the couple's home in Guntown, Miss., where they were buried.

The FBI says the Mayes' also abducted Bain's two younger daughters. The girls were rescued safely after a manhunt that ended when Adam Mayes fatally shot himself while being approached by SWAT officers.

Teresa Mayes' preliminary hearing had been rescheduled twice, pending the completion of a psychological evaluation.
