MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

A Memphis police officer is behind bars after threatening three juveniles Saturday night.

Memphis police say officers were flagged down in the are of Tutwiler and Snowden in regards to an assault involving off-duty officer Margaret Taylor, 55. Officers were told that Taylor engaged in a verbal confrontation with three boys: Kelvin Hall, 13; Collis Moore, 16; and Derriona Jones, 10.

According to the affidavit, the boys were sitting on a swing on porch of a home on Dickinson while playing with items on the porch. The woman living in the home came out and the kids asked if they could mow her yard, in which she answered no and asked them to leave her porch, according to the affidavit.

Taylor pulled up in a gold car next to the boys as they were walking and started cussing them, reports say. She then got out of the car, slapped Hall, lifted up her shirt to show the gun on her waistband and "stated something to the effect of killing all the victims if she saw them again around her house," reads the affidavit.

Taylor was arrested and charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault. She is relieved of duty pending the outcome of the investigation into the incident.

She is currently assigned to South Main Station. Taylor was hired at the Memphis Police Department in Feb. 2001.
