Accused Post Office Shooter Wants Confession Thrown Out
HENNING, TN (FOX13) -
The
accused Henning postal shooter says police forced him to confess. Chastain
Montgomery wants his videotaped confession to be inexcusable as evidence in his
pending trial.
He
has plead not guilty to charges he and his 18-year-old son killed postal
workers Paula Robinson and Judy Spray after robbing the Henning Post Office in October
of 2010.
Montgomery's
defense attorney says there are several constitutional violations including his
client not being on anti-psychotic medication. His attorney also says they
intend to use a mental health evaluation to show that Montgomery is mentally
challenged.
