LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A freeze warning is in place for northwest Arkansas and frost advisory is posted for much of the rest of the state's north as unseasonably cool temperatures blanket the state.

Temperatures early Sunday are forecast to range from the upper 20s in north Arkansas to the lower 40s in the state's south.

The National Weather Service in North Little Rock says a warming trend is expected on Monday and Tuesday as a high pressure system exits to the state's southeast. But a new cold front is projected to arrive on Wednesday, which would drop temperatures to unseasonable levels again.
