LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has named a new vice chancellor in charge of enrollment.
The school named Dean R. Kahler to the post Monday. He comes to UALR from Western Kentucky University, where he helped build enrollment and retention to record levels.
Chancellor Joel E. Anderson says Kahler will start in November. Anderson says Kahler will bring experience and leadership to the position and will work to bring in a mix of students that lines up with the university's strengths.
UALR recently announced that traditional new freshmen will be required to live in dormitories. The school says having the students on campus increases the chances that they will graduate.
