MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

For the past 12 years, two college friends have taken a corn field and turned it into cash cow and a Memphis tradition.

Chris Taylor and his partner Justin Taylor cut an image in a field of corn, charge people to try to find their way out of the maze and hopefully come out with a profit.

The college pals who just wanted to have some fun and maybe make a few bucks have been scaring about 25,000 people a year. Not only do they charge them to be scared, they have added a big outdoor trampoline, a spook house and concessions.

Some of the customers grow up and become employees.

"They started when I was 11-years-old, I would come up here with my friends, hang out, go to the bon fire and get scared. It was fun and we loved being scared. When you got older, you wanted to work here," says Director of Costumes and Makeup Sarah Pritchett.

Another popular feature of the corn maze is the corn cobb gun, where customers can try their luck for a chance to win a gift certificate.
