HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - The 2012 Pine Belt Job Fair is set for Wednesday at the Hattiesburg Lake Terrace Convention Center.
The Job Fair is part of Gov. Phil Bryant's Job Fair Network.
The Hattiesburg American reports (http://hatne.ws/Sqfc3q ) last year's Job Fair drew nearly 60 prospective employers and more than 1,100 job applicants. The newspaper reports 134 job offers were made on the day of the fair.
Kathy Killam, assistant director of Career Services at Southern Miss, says the Job Fair provides a necessary link between employers and job seekers by bringing large numbers of both together in one place, at one time.
