Germantown police are seeking the public's assistance in helping identify a male and female suspect who were involved in separate crimes that took place in October.
The first crime took place on Oct. 5, where a white male suspect who identified himself as a Marine, asked for help after his wallet was locked inside his vehicle at the Germantown Chick-Fil-A restaurant.
According to police, the victim agreed to assist the alleged Marine by driving the suspect to an ATM and loaning him money to have his car unlocked at which time he would repay the victim. The victim agreed, but after withdrawing $550 became suspicious and began asking questions. The suspect then fled on foot.
A second suspect, a female, is believed to have stolen a wallet containing personal information and credit cards on Oct. 23 a an assisted living facility.
The female suspect used one of the stolen credit cards at various stores within three hours of the theft, racking up $4,000 in charges, police said.
