Nineteen-year-old Tremarius Avant is being held without bond after he made his first appearance in court Friday after allegedly murdering a Memphis teenager.
Avant was charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of Demarco Adams, 16. The teens had been arguing which lead to the shooting, police said.
Mr. Adams' body was discovered Tuesday in a backyard on Leatherwood Avenue.
The murder suspect is due back in court Nov. 16 with a lawyer.
