Hours after the first winter snow blanketed the Mid-South overnight, the world famous Peabody Hotel ducks ventured outside to take in the snow and cold.
The hotel said their duckmaster led the ducks outside for their morning march across the hotel's rooftop to the grand lobby in time for their daily 11 a.m. appearance.
The hotel, located along Union Avenue and Third in Downtown Memphis, has showcased the ducks two times daily since 1933. Visitors and hotel guests can see the ducks march through the grand lobby daily at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Parts of West Tennessee received between 1-3 inches of snow late Christmas night and overnight Wednesday morning.
