A BP Circle K convenience store,
located at 1025 Goodman Road in Horn Lake, was robbed by a
male armed with a knife. This happened on Wednesday morning around 7:48am. There were no injuries.
The suspect
fled the scene and ran into the woods behind the store. Officers from
the Horn Lake Police Department, Desoto County Sheriff's Department and
the Southaven Police Department responded quickly to the area. After a
few moments of searching officers spotted the suspect coming out of a
wooded field area off Highway 51. As the suspect crossed Highway 51
officers were able to detain him without incident.
They found a knife and the exact amount of money that was taken from the convenience store on him.
Store employees and witnesses positively
identified the suspect as the person that robbed the store.
19 year old Dalton Gardner of Horn Lake was taken into custody. He has been
charged with armed robbery in which his bond was set at $100,000.00.
