A Stuttgart couple must have known it was their lucky day when they bought a $1 million winning Arkansas lottery ticket - so later on the same day they bought another ticket and won an additional $50,000.

The Arkansas Lottery Commission says Stephen and Terri Weaver were on a fishing trip when they stopped at T-Ricks convenience store in Pangburn and bought the first ticket that was the $1 million winner. The two then stopped at the same store on their way home and bought another ticket - this one the $50,000 winner.

The commission says the couple claimed their cash at a lottery claim center in Little Rock on Monday and plans to pay bills and invest in their retirement.

Stuttgart is 110 miles west of Memphis.
