For the second time in two years popular Hispanic nightclub La Granja Bar and Grill was forced to close its doors after it violated terms of an agreement made with the Shelby County District Attorney.
The club, located at 4780 summer Ave. near Mendenhall, was declared a public nuisance and will remain closed until the club owners appear before Environmental Court Jude Larry Potter this week.
In November 2011 La Granja Bar was one of six clubs also closed for a period of time after being involved in a major drug trafficking ring between Mexico and the Mid-South.
