Tenn. fugitive found in Fla. charged with murder

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A fugitive captured by U.S. Marshals in Florida has been returned to authorities in East Tennessee and has been charged with murder, burglary and aggravated arson in the death of a man found shot to death in his burning home last March.

Events to mark 150th anniversary of Ark. battle

Greenville man charged in fatal shooting

GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) - A 36-year-old man wanted in a fatal shooting Friday in downtown Greenville is now in custody.

Police Sgt. Michael Merchant tells the Delta Democrat Times (http://bit.ly/VSMzMC ) that Rico Brown turned himself in Sunday. Brown was charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Dead birds fall out of sky in Seymour

SEYMOUR, Tenn. (AP) - Residents in Seymour were startled after seeing dozens of small birds dropping dead from the sky over the weekend.
