After stealing more than $1 million in an elaborate tax scheme, a 26-year-old Memphis woman was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court to more than nine years in prison.

Between Feb. 2010 and July 2011, Tamaracina Birdse filed false tax returns using Social Security numbers of more than 250 victims, including

Roland Jean-Charles of Arlington, accused of attempted kidnapping in December 2011, remains in jail without bond as he awaits his trial, which will start in April 2013.

Jean-Charles, 33, was arrested in December 2011 after police say he knocked a jogger to the ground, put his hand on her mouth and tried to drag her

Southaven Mayor Greg Davis and his wife Suzann reached a settlement in divorce court Wednesday in Hernando.

Mrs. Davis showed up to the proceedings but Mayor Davis did not.

In short order, it was settled behind closed doors. Suzann and Greg Davis have been divorced since June 13, 2011.
 
On Aug. 21, 2012, Mrs. Davis
