Memphis police have charged Michael Foster in the April 2012 death of his 2-year-old step-son, Memphis police said.

Sean Lambert died at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital from blunt force trauma that had caused his internal organs to hemorrhage.

Tamaracina Birdse of Memphis is due in federal court on Wednesday to be sentenced after scamming Mid-Southerners through a tax scheme.

Birdse stole people's personal identity, then falsely filed taxes in their name. She pocketed more than $1 million, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
