Plans finalized for Gulf lease sale off Tex. coast

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Federal regulators have firmed up plans to put more than 20 million acres off the coast of Texas up for bid to offshore energy producers next month.

The Obama administration says the lease sale will be held Nov. 28 in New Orleans.

State officials hope job fairs will help veterans

2 teens charged in Garland Co. livestock deaths

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Prosecutors have filed misdemeanor charges against two teenagers accused of killing two horses, a donkey and a cow.

UT students study radiation in downtown Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A white pickup truck with government tags trailing nuclear testing devices and a weather vane has drawn the attention of Knoxville residents recently.
