Commission approves 30-cent tax rate bump
DOWNTOWN MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Shelby County commissioners on Monday approved a slight increase in the certified tax rate, in a procedural move, that ups the tax rate from $4.02 to $4.32.

It doesn't mean there's a tax increase yet as Tennessee State law requires the county collect the same amount of revenue next year as it did this year

Lawrence County, Ark., Sheriff Jody Dotson confirmed the body found in the Black River Saturday is that of 14-year-old Sidney Randall.
