Les Misérables's Producer Says Miss Saigon Is Next!
Get ready for a BIG budget musical movie trend!Producers say that if Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway's Les Misérables is les success it's expected to be, more broadway musicals will be head to the big screen. Starting with Miss Saigon!Les Mis producer, Sir Cameron Mackintosh revealed his plans to make the Vietnam War love story, saying:“If Les Mis is a success then Miss Saigon will be made into a film. It isn’t confirmed at this point but there are many people sniffing around and offers coming in.”That is seriously exciting news! Miss Saigon is a classic we would LURVE to see it made with the budget it deserves. But, sadly, it's a sight we probably won't see it for at least an other couple of years. Cameron explains: “The promotion of Les Mis worldwide will take a whole month, you can spend more time publicising a project than you do making it.”Okay, that sucks. But we'll manage.
