Salty tears stream down our cheeks in such bliss, as last night's election proves that so many Americans are tolerant, fair human beings who believe love can be shared between ANYONE, regardless of gender!!!

Not only did President Obama secure his second term as POTUS, questions concerning legalization of same sex marriage were APPROVED by popular vote in Maine, Maryland and Washington!

This is the first time any pro-gay marriage propositions have passed by popular vote in the USA.

YES YES YES!

Rick Jacobs, founder and chair of the Courage Campaign, released this heartwarming statement:

"The tide has turned - when voters have the opportunity to really hear directly from loving, committed same-sex couples and their families, they voted for fairness and the freedom to marry. How fitting that four years after Prop. 8 awakened the nation, and the world, to the injustice of marriage for some but not for all committed couples, we have now won at the ballot box. The Supreme Court can see that America is continuing its historic march towards equality and justice for all. Those who oppose the freedom to marry for committed couples are clearly on the wrong side of history. More and more voters are coming to know that gay people are our neighbors, our co-workers, our fellow parishioners, our family and our friends. It won't be long at all before all loving committed couples have the freedom to marry."

AND, not only did the majority of people in the aforementioned states vote FOR legalizing same sex marriage, those in the state of Minnesota decided to FAIL a change in their legislation, which would have denied gay and lesbian couples the right to marry!

We are so blessed to live in a country where many areas support people's freedom to legally recognize their love. Now 9 states — Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Washington — have legalized same sex marriage, with 12 others allowing some sort of domestic partnership.

All of this comes just one day after Spain's highest court deemed same sex marriage IS constitutional. GLORIOUS!

The future IS beaming with LOVE, and we WILL eventually learn to live peacefully together on this Earth as fellow HUMAN BEINGS!
