Authorities ID woman found dead in Pulaski County

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Authorities have identified a woman found dead alongside a road in rural Pulaski County.

The sheriff's office says 29-year-old Kimberly Espino Davis was found dead Saturday along Harper Road. Lt. Carl Minden says Davis' death is being investigated as a homicide, but he did not release her cause or manner of death.

Gulf fishery council to meet in Gulfport, Miss

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council will meet Oct. 29-Nov. 1 in Gulfport.

Adams Co. approves inmate health care contract

NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - The Adams County Board of Supervisors has approved a $76,000 contract with an inmate health care provider for services for county jail inmates.

Bond issue will pay for Fire Station No. 2

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (AP) - The city of Southaven officially became the owner of a fire station that will cost taxpayers $4.4 million.
