Man charged with killing 2 in Ark. due in court

HARRISBURG, Ark. (AP) - An Arkansas man charged with killing two people who were found dead in a Trumann mobile home has pleaded not guilty to two counts of capital murder and a burglary charge.

Prosecutor Scott Ellington says 28-year-old John Anthony Arnoult entered the pleas during a hearing Monday in Harrisburg.

Ark. man fatally stabbed during home invasion

FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Fort Smith police say a man is dead after being stabbed during an apparent home invasion.

Cpl. Patricia Sullivan says officers were called to a burglary about 4 a.m. Monday at a home on the city's west side where a man allegedly broke into the home and stabbed a man who lived there before being subdued by other residents.

The Memphis Fire Department is investigating a house fire that left a male and female adult dead.

The blaze started at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Sunday at 3041 Cromwell Road, a one-story wood-frame residence. Fire crews say they determined there was no working smoke detector in the house.
