On January 12, 1957, Elvis Presley recorded a track at Hollywood’s Radio Recorders that would top the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and become his first No. 1 U.K. single. Sadly, on the same date in 2023, his only child, Lisa Marie Presley — briefly married to Michael Jackson and best known for her own hit that reached No. 16 in the U.K. — passed away at 54.

In 1999, Britney Spears released her debut album …Baby One More Time which shot to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned several Top 40 hits, including the title track and “(You Drive Me) Crazy,” which hit No. 10.
2024 — 21 Savage Drops american dream
On January 12, 2024, 21 Savage released his album american dream, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It featured multiple hits that made it into the Top 10.
