Sam Asghari is weighing in on ex-wife Britney Spears’ recent decision to seek professional help.
Following Spears’ voluntary entry into a rehab facility after a recent DUI arrest, Asghari shared his supportive stance on her journey toward recovery.
“I think it’s great, [and] I think anything that has anything to do with healing [are] great things,” Asghari, 32, told TMZ photographers on Thursday, April 23. “As long as the person is in charge of that, it’s all great.”
Asghari, who was married to the pop icon from 2022 to 2024, noted that the two have not been in communication since she began her treatment.

A Path Toward Healing
The “Toxic” singer’s decision to seek treatment comes on the heels of a March 4 incident where she was arrested for driving under the influence in Los Angeles. While the incident was described by her representative as “completely inexcusable,” it appears to have served as a turning point for the singer.
“Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change,” her rep shared in a statement, adding that her loved ones are focused on a plan to set her up for long-term success and well-being.

Family Support
Beyond Asghari’s public well-wishes, Spears’ inner circle—specifically her sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19—played a pivotal role in her decision. Sources indicate that the boys, who live with father Kevin Federline, urged their mother to seek help after expressing concern over her recent behavior.
Spears reportedly plans to spend more time with her sons once she completes her program, focusing on rebuilding those vital family connections.
