Taylor Swift named Spotify’s most-streamed artist of all time

Taylor Swift has officially been crowned the most-streamed artist in the history of Spotify.
To celebrate its milestone 20th anniversary on Thursday, the streaming giant pulled back the curtain on its historical data, revealing the top-performing artists, songs, albums, and podcasts since the platform’s inception.
 
The Top Five Global Icons
The “Shake It Off” superstar secured the #1 spot, leading a powerhouse top five that includes Puerto Rican rapper Bad BunnyDrakeThe Weeknd, and Ariana Grande. The all-time top 10 was rounded out by industry titans Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Eminem, and Kanye West.
 
Bad Bunny and The Weeknd Dominate Charts
While Swift took the artist crown, Bad Bunny claimed the title for the most-streamed album of all time with Un Verano Sin Ti.
The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) also proved his streaming dominance, appearing twice in the top 10 album list with Starboy (#2) and After Hours (#4). He further solidified his legacy by claiming the #1 most-streamed song of all time with his 2020 global hit, “Blinding Lights.”
Other notable rankings include:
  • Top Albums: Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Deluxe), Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour, and Taylor Swift’s Lover.
  • Top Songs: Ed Sheeran held two spots with “Shape of You” and “Perfect,” while Harry Styles’ “As It Was” and Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” also made the top 10.
Beyond the Music
Spotify’s 20-year retrospective also highlighted the rise of spoken-word content. The Joe Rogan Experience was named the most-streamed podcast of all time, while Sarah J. Maas’s A Court of Thorns and Roses took the top spot for most-streamed audiobook.
