The rapper reportedly lost $1 million after placing his money on Conor McGregor to defeat Max Holloway during Saturday’s fight.
The highly anticipated match marked McGregor’s first UFC appearance in five years—but it ended almost as quickly as it began. Early in Round 1, McGregor suffered a leg injury that prevented him from continuing, forcing the referee to call the fight.
As a result, Max Holloway was declared the winner just 69 seconds into the bout.
Ahead of the fight, Drake confidently backed McGregor on social media, writing: “THE MAC IS BACK?!?!?? The proper twelve drinking, tailored suit wearing, Lambo Yacht riding man with the Dubai tan that once had both belts in both hands…Say less.”
If McGregor had secured the win, Drake would have walked away with nearly $3 million.
Following the fight, McGregor addressed the shocking outcome, expressing disbelief and vowing to return stronger.
