2003: Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica debuted, giving viewers a look into the lives of Jessica Simpson and her then-husband, Nick Lachey. The reality series significantly increased Simpson’s public profile while also bringing Lachey additional exposure.

2006: Carrie Underwood released “Before He Cheats.” The crossover hit reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 64 weeks on the chart.

2024: Taylor Swift performed the seventh night of her eight-show London run during the Eras Tour. She performed a mashup of “Long Live” and “Change” for the first time on the tour.

In 1964, Everett released “The Shoop Shoop Song (It’s in His Kiss),” which became her biggest hit and reached No. 6 on the Hot 100.

2008: LeRoi Moore died in Los Angeles at age 46. Moore, a founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died from injuries sustained in an ATV accident at his property in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dave Matthews Band placed songs including “The Space Between” and “American Baby” in the Hot 100’s Top 30.

2013: Lady Gaga asked her fans to stop sending online threats to critics. Her request followed a public dispute involving gossip columnist Perez Hilton.

2014: Kate Bush asked fans not to use phones or cameras to record her performances during her 22-night London run. The concerts marked her return to live performing after an absence dating back to 1979.

2016: Lou Pearlman died at age 62 while serving a 25-year prison sentence for orchestrating a Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors of more than $300 million. Pearlman was also known for forming and managing successful boy bands including NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys.

2024: Chappell Roan used social media to speak out about inappropriate interactions from some fans following her rapid rise to fame. Roan emphasized that intrusive behavior toward artists should not be considered normal or acceptable.
